Results usually begin to appear within 3–7 days, with full results visible after around two weeks. Most patients enjoy their results for approximately 3–4 months, although this can vary depending on the individual and lifestyle factors which can be discussed during your consultation and treatment.
Most patients describe the treatment as a series of tiny pinches that are very well tolerated. We also apply a numbing solution to the mixture to help our patients feel less of the pinch. We also use a special type of needle that is softer on the skin. The procedure is quick, usually taking around 5-10 minutes, and there is little to no downtime.
Yes. For the first 4–6 hours after your treatment, you should remain upright and avoid bending forward excessively or lying down. This helps minimise the chance of the product migrating from the intended treatment area.
You should also avoid vigorous exercise for the rest of the day. Alcohol, caffeine and medications such as ibuprofen can increase your risk of bruising if taken around the time of treatment, although they do not affect the effectiveness of your anti-wrinkle injections. Your full aftercare instructions will be discussed during your appointment to help you achieve the best possible results.
No. Anti-wrinkle injections are entirely your choice, and there is no obligation to continue treatment. If you decide not to have further treatments, the effects will gradually wear off over 3–4 months, and your muscles will simply return to their normal movement. Your wrinkles will not become worse than they were before treatment—they will simply return to their natural appearance over time.
